Sabbatical Scratch Card
Swedish developers - Yggdrasil Gaming - are responsible for the Sabbatical scratchie. This is one in a series of new electronic scratch card games that have recently been released by the developer and offers eighteen ways to win up to €50 000, and promises a win on every third round. We spent a happy half hour playing this game, where the theoretical return to player is 94.00%, and we found this to be true. Fans of online scratch cards will more than likely have fun playing this game.
Special Features
This great little game offers free game symbols, as well as other instant wins and is set into the sunset lit backdrop of a tropical island, with a cruise ship gently floating in calm seas. It is perhaps apt that the name is Sabbatical because of the size of the prize. It advertises “take a year off”, and one suppose one could take a year off if they won this large amount of money.
Four winning numbers are set behind golden doors, and the player is issued with eight numbers just below, hidden behind the same golden doors. The point of the game is to open these doors, and try to match the winning numbers. This can be done by clicking on each individual door, or simply clicking the “Reveal All” button. Winning number are never the same, but the players table of numbers may contain repeats.
Wagers are fixed at €1.00, and various numbers win different prizes. For example if the cruise liner icon is revealed, this pays an instant €4.00. When winning takes place, a whole lot of gold coins are thrown at the screen. Players are also able to change tickets if they so choose, or make do with the randomly picked cards chosen by the game.
Bonus Feature
There is a free round icon available that triggers this bonus game, when this appears on the card, and amount of free games is given away. This writer won ten free games, and prize money of €19.00. Ten free games is the maximum that is given away, and once winnings have been announced, the player is invited to take a gamble on double or quits in a “Heads” or “Tails” round. Doubling up can be taken advantage of for three turns, as long as the player does not guess the wrong face of the coin coming up.
