About Valley of Gods
Yggdrasil Gaming’s Valley of the Gods is naturally an Ancient Egyptian-themed slot, although it is one quite unlike many of the others which litter the online casino world. This particularly colourful game features a standard number of lines on its 5 reels to start off with, although as many as 3,125 paylines can be opened up later on throughout the gameplay. The game itself features familiar Ancient Egyptian imagery, many of which include the most popular and well-known gods of Ancient Egyptian mythology. Wagers stretch from 0.10 up to 100.00 a spin on this game, which has an RTP (return to player) rate of 96.20% and carries a non-progressive jackpot which is capped at 500x your total stake.
Special Features
Curiously enough, there is no wild symbol present in this game, but there are other special symbols. One such icon is the scarab beetle, which is known as a “blocker” symbol. The blocker icons appear on the outside of the reels, and any winning three-of-a-kind combo (or higher) will remove a blocker. If players then bag consecutive wins, more blockers will be removed. If they lose one, the blockers return.
The idea is to remove all the blockers, to trigger the feature in the game. That feature is a free spin bonus round, and it comes with quite a complicated set of rules.
Bonus Feature
Players will note that gemstones will fill up the blue and red metres (statues) by the sides of the reels. The blue statue offers a multiplier, while the red one offers you extra lives. Once the bonus begins, players will bag several free games. During those free games, any golden gem icons the player comes across will ramp up either their lives or multiplier metres. Any non-winning spin will remove a life, and once all lives have been removed, the bonus ends. Keep winning, and you can keep spinning. It is during this feature that additional paylines are possible, with up to 3,215 of them there for the taking in all. Once you’re out of lives, the blockers return, and the base game resumes.
