GLADIATOR SLOT

About Gladiator

Gladiator is, of course, based on the hit 2000 movie of the same name. Unfortunately, you won’t find any Maximus (Russell Crowe) in this slot, due to Playtech being unable to obtain his image rights. Even so, all the rest of the cast make appearances, including Commodus, Proximo, Juba, and Lucilla. Gladiator can also be played as a progressive jackpot slot, or a non-progressive game. Players need to pay attention to which type of game they have chosen. The slot itself is played over 5 reels and 25 lines, with players able to wager on paylines individually. Coin sizes of 0.01 up to 5.00 can be chosen, with players able to bet as many as 10 coins per line. Gladiator will cost you anything from 0.01 per line, per spin, up to 1,250.00 per spin. The non-progressive version of this game carries a total prize worth 5,000 coins.

Special Features

Commodus is the best paying icon in the game, and if players land 5 of him on any active line, they will win that aforementioned non-progressive prize. The gladiator helmet (Maximus’ helmet) is the wild symbol in this game, and is capable of appearing on the second, third, and fourth reels of the game. Wilds can replace all other symbols, save for scatters.

Wilds can also trigger the Gladiator Bonus if three appear on the reels. In this bonus, players can choose from several helmets to win cash pries in an instant win game. Gold are worth more than silver, and silver helmets are worth more than bronze. In the progressive jackpot version of this game, this is where you can bag the progressive prizes.

Gladiator’s scatter icon is the Coliseum. When it appears 2, 3, 4 or 5 times anywhere on the screen, the player will pocket scattered wins worth 1x, 4x, 20x, or 100x their total bet, respectively. Landing three or more of them will also trigger a free spins bonus game.

Bonus Feature

Before you get to the free spins bonus round, you must choose wisely in the Coliseum Bonus. You will be greeted to numerous rows of symbols. The first row offers the number of free games you will get, whilst the second row provides you with multipliers for use in that bonus. The third row offers extra scatters, whilst the fourth row offers extra wilds. If you land Commodus on the third reel during the bonus, you will bag an additional 3 free spins.
