GOLDEN TOUR SLOT

About Golden Tour

Playtech’s Golden Tour is one of several sports-themed slots from this provider. A few golf-themed slots are doing the rounds on the net, but Golden Tour seems to be amongst the worst of them and sets the bar relatively low for rival developers’ games to beat. Golden Tour features 5 reels and just 5 paylines and represents one of the older slots produced by Playtech. Players have simple wagering options in this golf game, and these can see players ultimately wager anything from a base minimum of 0.01 per line per spin, up to no more than 25.00 a spin. Despite its basic gaming structure and limited paylines, the Golden Tour slot can dish out wins worth up to 2,000 coins and has a very agreeable RTP (return to player) rate of 97.7%.

Special Features

Don’t expect too many special features in this back-to-basics video slot. There are wild symbols in the shape of yellow golf balls, and there are scatter symbols, also; three of them in all. These can wreak havoc when you’re trying to land a winning combo on the reels, but they can deliver special features, too.

Players need to land each one of the scatters on the reels at least once to trigger the bonus round. For instance, players need to acquire a gopher, a duck and a fish icon on the reels at the same time.

It is worth pointing out the if the 2,000-coin non-progressive jackpot doesn’t tick your boxes, there is also progressive jackpot to be won, of sorts. It is Playtech’s Dollar Ball progressive and works more like a lottery than a true slot jackpot. Players can place a side-bet at the cost of 1.00, and if they land all of the numbers drawn on their “ticket”, they will win the top prize.

Bonus Feature

Back to the bonus round now. Players will first get to select clubs from those displayed on the screen. A driver needs to be selected, then an iron and lastly, a putter. Players will pocket a cash prize based on their selection. It is worth triggering the bonus with 4 or 5 scatters, though, as multipliers can be added if you do so. Some of those multipliers are worth up to 10x the standard value of your prizes.
