About Tens or Better
Tens or Better is a very modern video poker game, which has been developed by 1x2gaming. This video poker title features rather square cards and offers a pretty standardised pay rate for players. The video poker doesn’t do anything new, but it is easier to stake your wagers in this game than in other titles, as you shall see.
How to play
As with all video poker games, a bet must first be made before any cards are dealt. After receiving your cards, you can choose which of the five of them you wish to keep. After doing so, click on the deal button to replace discarded cards with new ones. Your final poker hand will then be completed.
If the poker hand matches any of those displayed on the pay-table above the cards, then you will have a winning hand. The video poker game will then pay out the relevant prize to the player, based on how much they staked for the hand.
Wagering and prizes
In the bottom left hand corner of the screen, players will be able to choose the value of their coins. Coin values range from a low of 0.10 up to no more than 2.50. You will also be able to choose to stake up to 5 coins per line, by using the bet level button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. This means you can wager anything from 0.10 per hand, up to 12.50 per hand in this game.
The lowest paying hands in the Tens or Better game is of course, the titular Tens or Better hand. This hand is beaten by a Two Pair, and that in turn is beaten by a Three of a Kind. A Straight beats that hand, whilst a Flush trumps that. Players who bag a Full House can win fairly decent wins, whilst a 4 of a Kind, and Straight Flush are worth more still. The best paying hand in Tens or Better is a Royal Flush, which can be worth as much as 4,000 coins.
Final thoughts
Tens or Better (also known as 10s or Better) is a likeable video poker game. In all honesty, it actually isn’t that different from other video poker titles, although this one does have better looking graphics and is friendlier, allowing you more control over how you bet.
