About Tens or Better Video Poker

Most online gambling software providers offer very similar products, even of the same name, in particular in the video poker genre. This version of Tens of Better comes from the Rival Powered library. Rival is a well-known brand, which partners with some of the biggest names in the online casino industry. They are a B2B developer who have been in business since 2005, and have the simple philosophy that build games people love to play. This version of Tens or Better offers 4000 coins as a top prize, and there is no surprise in that; it a normal sized prize for these games.

Special Features

This is a single hand game of video poker, and cannot be c hanged into a multi-hand version, so, we are playing with one deck of cards, and we actually found it to be quite loose. In other words winning is common. It is nicely illustrated, easy to see, with pay-tables that appear just above the card game. As in all versions of Tens of Better, the player must have a hand of at least a pair of tens to win.

Card hands are based on traditional poker hands, where winning starts with a Pair of Tens, and commences upwards through, two pairs, three of a kind, straight, flush, full house, four of a kind, straight flus, and Royal flush. The Royal Flush is the hand that pays 4000 coins, but five coins must be player for the full pay-out on this hand.

A coin bet range starts at only 0.05, and moves up through 0.10, 0.25 (the default setting), 0.50, 1.00, 2.00, and finally 5.00. One, two, three, four or five coins may be toggle by the player, and it is important to note that to win the top prize of 4000 coins – five coins must be used. Whatever the value of the coin being played – that is multiplied by 4000. So playing the top wager of 25.00 is obviously ideal, but not always what we can afford. Rather play with five coins of a smaller value, than with less coins.

Bonus Features

We are always a little bit loath to call the gamble feature a bonus, as most bonus features are a little more interactive, especially when playing slots. However it does offer an additional way to wins, as well as a way to lose our winnings. When a win takes place, a gamble feature activates, and the player may choose to use this or not.
