About Joker Poker

NuWorks’ Joker Poker game is really no different than any of the other many Joker Poker variants which have been released over the years by various developers. The one thing that this version certainly does have going for it, though, is the fact that it contains an absolutely eye-popping non-progressive jackpot worth 10,000 coins in all. For any video poker game, that’s quite some prize.

How to play

Players must first place a bet before they can wager on the game. They can opt to do this by clicking on the bet one button to increase their stake Stakes will rise from 1 coin per hand, up to a total of 5 coins per hand. The more coins you bet per hand, the more you can win.

Joker Poker is named due to the fact that the game features a wild icon. This wild card can replace all others in the game, resulting in you standing a better chance of constructing a winning hand. That’s all you need to do in this poker game, since you aren’t playing against a dealer or another player.

After the initial dealing, you can swap cards out of your 5-card hand, to replace them with new cards. After doing so, your final hand will be compared against the paytable on display. If there is a winning match, you will pocket the respective pay-out.

Hands and prizes

If you’re going to be going after the jackpot, then you will need to line up a Royal Flush in sequence in your hand. This can be worth as much as 10,000 coins, if you happen to be playing on the maximum bet. Other paying hands (in order of value) include a Royal Flush, 5 of a Kind, Royal flush with Jokers, Straight Flush, 4 of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, 3 of a Kind, 2 Pair, and Kings or Better. Pay-outs for those hands range from 1 to 4,000 coins.

Final thoughts

Joker Poker is great if you’ve got jokers in your hand. Aside from that, though, it isn’t really much better than Jacks or Better. You can win with a pair of Kings though, and that is only two steps above Jacks or Better. All things considered, Joker Poker is a fair video poker game, suitable for almost all players.
