CAT SCRATCH FEVER

About Cat Scratch Fever

Cat Scratch Fever is one of Novomatic’s simpler online video slots. Forget about the song of the same name, this slot is all about funky kitties and their groovy lifestyles – nothing more. Cat Scratch Fever features a simplified but standard set up of 5 reels and X paylines for you to play. Players can select as many or as few paylines as they wish. They can also choose line bets which range from 2p per line, per spin, up to £100 per spin. Cat Scratch Fever will allow you to win as much as 2,000 coins in all, which is rather small for a non-progressive jackpot from Novomatic. Even so, if you are playing with large wagers then you could still be in for a serious amount of cash with a jackpot win.

Special Features

If players can land the disco balls, they will have located wilds. Wild symbols can replace all other symbols in the slot, save for bonus icons. They cannot offer you money, though. This is a bit of a shame, as it means that you are going to need to line up the male cat with the afro haircut to win the jackpot. Wilds do not appear on the first reel.

The bonus icon in this slot is the colourful emblem. This orange, green, purple symbol will offer you a “Scratch and Wins” free spins bonus round if you can land 9 or more bonus symbols anywhere on the reels. That is not going to be easy, by any standards.

Aside from those options, the other “bonus feature” is a gamble round, though you’d be hard pressed to call it that. Cat Scratch Fever’s gamble feature can be activated after any winning spins, but make no mistake about it, you don’t have the biggest ever shot of doubling your winnings. It is a so-so bonus feature at best.

The bonus round

At the start of the bonus round, players will begin with 18, 24, or 30 free games. All symbols except wild can appear stacked on the second, third, fourth and fifth reels. A scratch feature may also be triggered in this bonus. The scratch feature will occur when players have two or more of the first three reels filled with matching stacked of symbols. A huge paw will then come and scratch the symbols, resulting in enhancing wins and potentially better winning combinations.
