There are quite literally hundreds of virtual casinos online that off Microgaming products, and Around The World is one of their most early famous video slots. At the time it first hit the small screen is was being called a “new generation” slot, and has remained hugely popular over the years.

This non-progressive slot, is a five reel, twenty pay-line game, with a top prize of £/€/$100,000, over 100 000 coins. It is a pretty generous prize that may be won with a top wager of 200 coins. Features

Based on the famous tale by Jules Verne – of Phileas Fogg and the wager he made with The Geographical Society of London – the theme is enchanting. You too will get to travel around the world in eight days with him and his team with the potential to win huge cash prizes.

Characters, and forms of transport stay true to the theme, and are all graphically rendered quite exquisitely in vintage style. Set in a backdrop of London, Paris, and all the lovely Global destinations that Phileas set his heart on. Icons are trains, elephants, Chinese junks, camels, ships, planes, trains and hot-air balloons, compasses and more, with an Around The World Logo that is wild, as is Phileas Fogg himself. A compass is the scatter icon; a Globe Bonus is on offer, as well as a Travel Game. Do check out the reverse spin feature – it is also pretty wild.

The aim of the game in playing this video slot is essentially to have fun, and be entertained. It is a random number game, but there is a rather large prize at stake. Fortunately it offers ample opportunities to land wilds, scatters, and multipliers, as well as a whole host of bonus rounds.
