THE DARK KNIGHT

About The Dark Knight

It has been a long time coming, but Playtech have finally unveiled their successor to Microgaming’s Dark Knight slot. This Playtech game keeps the spirit of that old classic alive, while at the same time bringing something new to the game. The game is played over an imaginative 6 reels and 50 paylines, with players able to wager anything from a floor of 0.20 per spin up to 15.00 per spin. That’s not bad going at all. The slot features largely the same characters and imagery as its predecessor, and like the other DC Universe slots from this developer, it contains four progressive jackpots.

Special Features

Keep your eyes peeled for the Batman logo. This icon appears as a wild and can replace all other symbols save for the bonus symbols in the game. Wilds can only appear on the second to fifth reels in this game.

Players will also note that if Batman appears stacked on the first reel, a Batman Respin bonus begins. In this feature, all Batman and Batman logo symbols lock into place. If Batman appears on a coin toss, the reels will spin again. If Joker appears, the feature ends.

Should The Joker appear stacked on the sixth reel, the Joker Respin bonus begins. In this feature, all Joker and wild symbols will remain on the reels. The same thing happens again, with Batman ending the bonus and The Joker offering another re-spin.

There are several free spin bonuses to be had in this game. The Dark Knight Bonus is triggered when Batman bonus icons appear on the second and third reels. The Agent of Chaos Bonus begins when Joker bonus symbols appear on the fourth and fifth reels. Land Batman bonus icons on the reels 2 and 3, and Joker bonus icons on the fourth and fifth reels to trigger the Gotham City Bonus.

The four progressive jackpots are won in the DC Super Heroes bonus, which is triggered at random. It required players to click on honeycomb symbols to match 3 identical jackpot prizes to win.

Bonus Feature

In the Dark Knight Bonus players can enjoy 7 spins with Batman symbols appearing as wilds and remain frozen in place. The Agent of Chaos free spin bonus offers 7 free spins with extended Joker symbols boosting your chances of landing a win. Lastly, in the Gotham City Bonus, players will get 7 free spins with Batman locking in place, and extended Joker symbols appearing on the reels. Any Joker icons which overlap the main Batman wild icons will also become wilds.
