About Phantom Cash
Phantom Cash is an ideal slot to play around Halloween. The ghostly spectre-themed slot machine has been designed and developed by Microgaming, but is one of their older titles, so it looks a little graphically substandard compared to newer slots from the internet’s leading casino software developer. Phantom Cash is played over 5 reels and 25 paylines, with players able to select coin values which range from 0.01 up to 0.25, and bet as many as 20 coins per line. None of the slot’s 25 lines can be adjusted, though. Phantom Cash carries a non-progressive jackpot which is capped at around 50,000 coins in all, when you play with the maximum bet. To win that prize, you are going to need to land 5 mansion symbols on any payline in the game.
Special Features
There are two ghost catchers which appear in this slot. They are both wild symbols. Known as Thurmingham and Carstairs, these character icons can substitute for all other symbols in the slot machine, save for mansion scatters. Wild wins are doubled in this slot machine game, although the Thurmingham and Carstairs wild symbols can only appear on the first and fifth reels, respectively.
Scatter symbols appear as mansions (as we’ve said), and these symbols can dish out scattered cash prizes worth 1,000 coins, 12,500 coins and 50,000 coins when 3, 4 or 5 appear on the reels during a maximum stake bet. Scatter icons appear 3 or more times on the reels will trigger a Ghost Zap feature in this slot.
Bonus Feature
The scatter icons will trigger a Ghost Zap feature when 3 or more appear anywhere on the reels. To begin with, the Ghost Meter in the game will start at 8, and reveal the number of ghosts you can potentially capture. The slot’s two wilds will catch any of the four ghost characters which land in their row, and double the value of any wins in which they appear. They can even quadruple the value of those wins if both symbols appear on the same row.
When a ghost is captured, one point is removed from the Ghost Meter. Once all ghosts have been captured (as many as the meter suggests), the bonus ends. However, players can retrigger the feature by landing more scatters on the reels during the bonus round, which essentially acts as a free games feature, of sorts.
