OCTOPAYS

About Octopays

Microgaming’s Octopays is an underwater adventure-themed game, and although it certainly looks like one of their older titles, it does contain the 243 ways to win feature, so it is certainly not as ancient as it seems. Octopays will never permit players to alter the paylines which feature on its 5 reels, but this deep-sea diving themed slot can see you alter your bet all the same. Coin sizes range from 0.01 up to 0.50, with players able to bet as many as 10 of those coins per spin. Like most Microgaming slots which features 243 ways to win, this one is going to set you back at least 0.30 per spin. Push the boat out a bit (no pun intended) and you can actually wager as much as 150.00 per spin on this game. How does a 4,000-coin non-progressive jackpot sound to you? That’s what you can win if you are able to land 5 of the treasure chest symbols on any of the slot’s 243 lines.

Special Features

There is a wild in the base game of this slot, and it takes the shape of an octopus. Landing this symbol on the reels will see it substitute for all other icons in the game without exception. Wilds do only show up on the second and fourth reels of the base game, though.

A separate feature (the slot’s only bonus round) is triggered if you can land wilds on both the second and the fourth reels at the same time, so good luck with that.

Bonus Feature

Players who manage to do land wilds on both reels at once will trigger what is called The Kraken Feature. In this bonus round, a total of 12 free spins are awarded to the player. At the start of each free spin, up to 4 octopus wilds will be placed on the reels by the giant Kraken. These wilds cannot appear on the third reel, though. Kraken icons appear on the third reel and can double your winnings in the feature, with these symbols also able to “ink” octopus wilds and turn those in 2x multipliers, too.
