About Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is one of the internet’s more popular table games, and this one is Rival Gaming’s take on the game. It appears standardised, with its red table, and simple Pai Gow Poker game play. Although there are many Pai Gow Poker games out there on the net for you to play, if you happen to be playing in a Rival Gaming powered casino, you may as well give this one a run for your money. Everything from the rules to the look and feel of the game are virtually no different in this Rival Gaming developed Pai Gow Poker game than other developers’ own takes on the rapidly growing card game.

How to play and betting

Players will note that Rival Gaming’s Pai Gow Poker game contains chip sizes of 1.00, 5.00, 10.00, 25.00, and 100.00. Table minimum and maximum bets range from 10.00 per game, up to 500.00 per hand, and that makes it a rather expensive table game. However, a few other versions of this game do exist, and they can be cheaper or more expensive to play depending on your preference.

This Pai Gow Poker game contains standard rules, with the dealer being the banker. This game uses a single 53-card deck (52 cards and a joker), and players split their cards into a five-card hand, and a two-card hand. The 5-card hand is ranked to conventional poker rules, whilst the two-card hand becomes a pair hand (if possible). The hands are ultimately compared to the dealer’s, to see if there is a winner.

Pai Gow Poker is a challenging game for players, although you do have a really good chance of success in this game. It is no wonder that developers such as Rival Gaming have jumped onboard to try and create their own version of this popular card game.

Winnings

The standard house edge in Rival Gaming’s Pai Gow Poker is roughly 2.72%, although with various strategies it is possible to get it down to 2.51%. If the player wins both hands, they pocket even money minus 5% commission. If they win one and lose one, the bets are returned in a push. If they lose both, the player loses their bet.
