About Microgaming Blackjack

How to Play Microgaming Blackjack

Microgaming’s Classic edition of the game is played with just one deck of 52 cards. It has a minimum bet of 2.00 on each hand and a maximum of 200.00.

The other rules of this Microgaming version are fairly strict and not very player-friendly. You are only allowed to double down on 9-11 and only if you have a “hard” hand. That means if you have, say, an 8 and an Ace, that is not a hard 9 and you will not be allowed to split. If you do split your cards, you won’t be allowed to double down. If you split Aces, you will only get one more card for each hand.

Under the European rules of this version of blackjack, the dealer’s second card does not appear until after the player has finished with all of his decisions. If the dealer is showing an Ace or even a 10, it’s a good idea to be conservative doubling down or splitting your cards.

There is one rule of Microgaming Classic Blackjack that is favourable for the players. The dealer has to stand on any 17, even if it’s a soft 17.
