The numbers in the title of this version of the game refer to the size of the bets that you can make-from 1.00-25.00. Other than that, this version, which is the creation of Real Time Gaming, is the basic game of Blackjack, with a few differences. The game is designed for the more aggressive player, since you can find yourself increasing your bet with every hand.

Special Features

The special feature of the rules for Blackjack 1-25 allows you to double down at any time. So if you have a 12 or a 13 and are going to take a card, you can make your wager twice as big. The ideal time to make this move would be when you expect to take just one more hit. If you've got a low total, such as a 6 or lower, you should only double down if you feel the dealer is in trouble. The only way you could win with such a move is if he busts.

Object

Blackjack 1-25's special rule which allows you to double down at any time can lead to a great deal of gambling when you split your cards, You are allowed to split any pair or any two cards, such as a Jack or King, that are considered a 10. You can keep splitting and you can keep doubling down as often as you want. With these special rules, it's possible that you can increase your original bet by a great deal.

Other Special Rules

As you might expect, not all the rules in Blackjack 1-25 work in favour of the player. Usually, when the house gives the player some extra options, they also take away some others. In this game, you can only split Aces once. When you do, you cannot get a 3-2 Blackjack payoff if you get a ten to go with an Ace. You also won't get 3-2 if you split tens and got an Ace. In either of those situations, your hand is considered as a 21, which can still be tied by the Dealer.

The other rule that works against the player has the Dealer hit on a soft 17. This can be very frustrating when you see a 17 appear as the Dealer's hand. You think your 18 is a winner, but then you notice the Dealer taking another card and getting a 3 to beat you with a 20.
