ATLANTIC CITY BLACKJACK

About Atlantic City Blackjack

Atlantic City Blackjack is one of the more popular Blackjack games on the net, and in casinos. In the Atlantic City Blackjack game, there are a couple of rule changes which make it stand out. The game gained popularity in the casinos of Atlantic City, of course. There should be no surprise that this happened, as many blackjack players say that Atlantic City Blackjack rules are about as favourable to the player as they possibly can be. That is entirely up to you to believe, though.

As with all blackjack games, the wagering ranges at Atlantic City Blackjack tables vary from game to game. Players should not expect to sit down at a table and play less than 1.00 per hand, although some online games will permit that. Similarly, in online games, 500.00 per hand does seem to be the maximum limit for wagering on Atlantic City Blackjack games.

How to Play Atlantic City Blackjack

It is a fair bet that most of you will be familiar with the rules of standard blackjack games. So, let’s look at what makes Atlantic City Blackjack stand out from other games in the genre. In Atlantic City Blackjack, the dealer must always draw to 16 or less. This means that the dealer must always stand on 17s or higher.

Players are entitled to double down on their initial hand when playing Atlantic City Blackjack, and they are also entitled to split any initial pair. You may double after a split, but you cannot re-split. You are only allowed one card each on split aces in this game. That is about it, really.

Now for the payout part. Blackjack pays 2:1, and Insurance on a dealer’s Ace pays out at 2:1. It is generally advised to avoid Insurance bets when playing Atlantic City Blackjack.

Final Thoughts

Given that it seems more agreeable to blackjack players; you are probably far better off playing Atlantic City Blackjack than other blackjack variants, such as those that are Nevada-style games. Some players may think differently, so it really is up to you to decide.

To really put the rule changes to the test, we’d recommend playing Atlantic City Blackjack for free, as this will give you plenty of hours of practice online. Once you’ve worked out the kinks and seen if the advantages are something that works for you, then you can play it for real money.
