About What on Earth

Another one of Microgaming’s old-school slot machine games, What on Earth is played over a 5-reel, 9-line format, and deals with fruit machines and primitive space icons as its theme. The slot machine’s graphics are rather rudimentary and so is the gameplay. Players can choose to play with any number of the 9 paylines selected, and they can also adjust the number of coins they stake per line, as well as the value of their coins. What on Earth may not be the most complex slot machine in the online casino gaming world, but players can still wager anything from a floor of 0.01 per line per spin, up to a cool 45.00 per spin on this slot. Strike it lucky in this alien-themed slot and you could walk away with a non-progressive prize worth 7,500 coins in all.

Special Features

Given the age of this game, there are more than a few special features to enjoy in the slot. Wild symbols appear as the game’s title logo, and these are the symbols which will deliver the non-progressive jackpot to you. They are also wilds, as we’ve said, but barely. Wild symbols can only replace porthole and robot symbols, the second and third-highest paying symbols in the slot, respectively.

Scatter icons appear as various spaceships and rockets. Landing 3 of the blue or green spaceships anywhere on the reels will see players win 3x their total bet. Landing between 3 and 5 of the red rocket symbols will see players pocket wins ranging from 3x their total bet up to 100x their total bet.

Bonus Feature

There is a bonus round in this game known as the Beam ‘em Up Bonus. Players who land 3 of the blue or green spaceship symbols on the reels can trigger this bonus. Similarly, 3 or more of the red rocket icons will also trigger the bonus. These symbols aren’t scatters in the true sense of the word, since they must appear on adjacent reels to trigger the feature.

In the Beam ‘em Up Bonus, players can try to beam up earthlings before time runs out to pocket instant cash prizes. If one of the earthlings is taken from their home town, the Destination Bonus is triggered, which could see players pocket 400x their total net.
