There have been other slot games based on the movie The Godfather, most notably “The Slotfather,” which was produced by Betsoft. The Codfather is a Next Gen game that takes a little different approach. The crime syndicate operates under the water, though the fish in the game wear the same kind of pinstripe suits apparently required of gangsters.

The Codfather has 5 reels and 20 pay lines. The coin sizes range from just 0.01 up to 2.00, which means each spin can be played for as little as 0.01 for one line or 40.00 for all 20 lines.

Features

The symbols you find in the Codfather include a combination of creatures from the sea and some items you'd find in a gangster movie. The ocean icons include a Sea Horse, or more appropriately for a mob-inspired theme, a sea horse's head. There is another symbol which has two fish dressed up like mobsters. There is also a worm on a hook as well as an empty violin case, the kind a mobster would use to carry his weapon.

The primary figure of the game, the Codfather himself, is a rather sinister looking fish with a bowler hat and a cigar in his mouth. He is the game's Wild symbol.

The Codfather's Scatter symbol is another dressed-up fish with an ominous look about it. It might be hard to tell the Wild Fish from the Scatter Fish except that the Wild symbol is in blue and the Scatter is in red.

Objective

There are two possible bonuses you can get in The Codfather. If you get three of the Wild symbols on a line, you will trigger the “Big Boss” feature in which you're guaranteed a cash prize.

If you get three of the Scatter symbols, you'll win 10 free spins which will have a multiplier of 3x. The free spins can also be re-triggered if enough Scatter symbols reappear.

Bonus Game Features

In the Big Boss game, you'll be taken to a room where you'll see four gangster fish sitting around a table. The uninvolved Codfather is in between them. As the story goes, the four fish are making a peace offering to the Codfather. You get to select one of the four, who will then show what his offer is. The amount of money that he puts forward is what you'll collect as your bonus.
