Play Metal Detector Video Slot from Rival for Free

About Metal Detector

Metal Detectors really is a rather basic, simplistic, and ultimately standard video slot from Rival Gaming. Not as popular in European casinos as it is in US-friendly ones, the Metal Detector slot machine shouldn’t need any introduction as far as its theme goes. This slot machine offers up just 5 reels and 15 paylines of gaming action, and players are free to wager anything from a floor of 0.01 per line per spin, up to 75.00 per spin on this little creation. Thematically, it isn’t the most exciting game you will ever come across, but the prospect of potentially winning as much as 1,000 coins is certainly going to make it worth at least a quick peek.

Special features

Rather strangely, Rival Gaming seem to have forgotten to include a wild symbol in the design of this slot. That is certainly most unfortunate, as it does kind of hinder your chances of landing a big win rather greatly. However, they have included a few other features to perk things up a notch.

There is a Detector Dude bonus round which can be triggered by landing 3, 4 or 5 of the Detector Dude scatter symbols on the reels of the slot. Once this occurs, players can use the left and right buttons to help the dude dig on a beach. Once he finds a red cross, he can start digging to pocket cash prizes. This isn’t an overly complex instant win bonus round.

Scatter symbols take the shape of a map icon, and when 3, 4 or 5 of these symbols appear in any position on the reels, a free spins bonus round will be triggered.

Bonus feature

Everybody loves a free spins bonus round. This bonus feature is far speedier to begin than the Detector Dude bonus, which was dull and unimpressive. There is excitement to be had from the free spins feature, which promises several decent spins. You can discover how many free spins you will get by clicking on the “red cross”. You’ll have a total of four locations displayed, and you only get to pick one. Once doing so, you can learn how many spins you will get and start playing. Unfortunately, no multipliers or hidden free spin bonuses have been added to the free spins feature. We would have liked to have seen some, but there you go.
