About Magic Spell
Magic Spell is a Microgaming developed slot, and one of their less impressive if we’re being totally honest. The slot machine features some rather basic imagery, including parchment and quills, bubbling cauldrons, cat food, a cat witch, and hedgehog teachers. Yes, it is all over the shop when it comes to its theme. Magic Spell is played over a basic 5-reel, 25-line gaming platform, with players able to select coin values which range from 0.01 up to 1.00, and bet as many as 10 coins per line. All 25 lines are adjustable, too. Wagers are going to rise upwards from a floor of 0.01 per line per spin, to 250.00 per spin on this nutty and wacky Microgaming developed slot, with maximum cash prizes reaching a high of 100,000 coins in total.
Special Features
If players are lucky enough to land the M, A, G, I and C letters from the first reel to the fifth, they can trigger a Magic Spell bonus. In this bonus round, if they can find a golden key behind one of the letters, they will trigger the Secret Library Bonus, where they could win as many as 75,000 coins.
Master Tom (the kitty witch) acts as a wild symbol, though it can only replace other cat icons in the game, and not other standard paying symbols. When a wild symbol features in a winning combination, players could find their wins multiplied by 5x the normal rate of pay. Wilds are also responsible for the jackpot, if you can line 5 on a payline, that is.
Bonus Feature
This slot – which launched in 2013 – offers up an impressive Second Library Bonus. In the feature, players can select from a number of books in order to pocket a special bonus round. They would end up winning an instant cash prize, triggering all the cash prizes with the All Winning Orb symbol, or they may end up having a “Spell Malfunction” which results in the player coming away with nothing at all. That is pretty harsh stuff from Microgaming.
The one thing that this slot could really have done with was a free spins bonus round, but there is none to be had in this slot. Given the so-so graphics and nutty theme, as well as the lack of a free spins bonus, don’t expect too many players to be inclined to play Magic Spell.
