About Lucha Extreme

Lucha Extreme is a wrestling themed video slot, and one of the more original to appear in the industry. Oryx’s Mexican wrestling slot features fictional wrestlers, and a very over the top wagering menu bar. There are only 20 lines on this 5 reel slot, but you have total control over how your bets are structured, using the complex menu system. Coin sizes of 0.01 up to 0.50 can be chosen, with player able to bet between 1 and 10 coins per line. Anybody hoping for a cheap bet can stake just 0.01 per line, per spin, whilst any player seeking for a more adventurous bet can wager as much as 100.00 per spin. Lucha Extreme carries a non-progressive jackpot worth 2,000 coins.

Special Features

El Diablo, and Fantasma are the two main fictional wrestlers in this slot, and they both appear stacked on the reels. They are both wilds icons, and can replace themselves for all other symbols in the slot, with the exception of bonus icon. If both these icons face each other on the second and fourth reels, a Spectacle Bonus game begins, where the two wrestle, and cash prizes are paid out.

In order to win the non-progressive jackpot, players will need to line up either 5 of the El Diablo wrestlers on any active payline, or 5 of the Fantasma players on any active line. This should see you able to win a non-progressive jackpot worth 2,000 coins in all.

Overall, the special features in this slot are decent, if a little messy when it comes to triggering them.

Bonus Feature

The free spins round in Lucha Extreme is pretty basic, too. When it is played, the Comodin, and Gladiator wrestlers are used as special icons, and they can offer you wins worth 20, 80, or 400 coins, depending on whether 3, 4 or 5 of them appear in a winning combinations. The bonus icon is the Belt of Champions icon. This symbol can offer you additional free spins. In order to trigger the free spins bonus in the first place, players need to land Comodin and Gladiator on the first, and fifth reels, respectively. Once the bonus has been triggered, players will get to enjoy a Challenge Bonus, where they can win 5, 10, or 20 free spins, with 1x, 2x, or 4x multipliers, respectively, depending on how well they do in that bonus round.
