About Diamond Mine 

There are all sorts of slot machines out there, and not all of them are unique. Diamond Mine is a slot from Espresso Games, but it is one that shares its name with over a dozen other games. Of all the slots out there with the name “Diamond Mine”, we find that this one is arguably the least impressive. Its small-scale software provider has grasped the theme but has hardly pushed the boat out in terms of features or graphics. What you’re looking at here is a five-reel slot with just eighteen paylines spanning its reels. You’re not going to find much wiggle room with paylines or coin values. In fact, coin values are set to a minimum of 0.02. You’re ultimately going to spend 0.02 per line (at a minimum), and max bets can reach 450.00 a spin if you let them. That’s a crazy maximum stake limit for such a simple slot that doesn’t offer you much in return. Expect to see top prizes worth 12,500x a bet, or 62,500 coins, but it’ll be a slog to try and get that sort of win in this relatively barebones slot release. 

Special Features 

There are a few special symbols to consider in this game. While helmet, pickaxe, and boot symbols all dish out standard paying prizes, you can win with two-of-a-kind combos in some cases. The wild is a far more valuable symbol to land, though. You’ll need diamond symbols to make the magic happen. Aside from just substituting for symbols you need, diamond wilds can also double the value of any winning combos they appear in – save for five wilds, of course. 

Scatter symbols appear as miners, and these can offer free spin bonuses when three or more appear on the reels. There is also a dynamite scatters that can trigger an instant win cash prize worth up to 100x a bet but not a bonus round. 

Finally, there are two bonus symbols in the slot. The first is the map and the second is the wagon. These can unlock two different bonuses when each appears three or more times across the reels in the game. It is worth pointing out that having two scatters and two bonus icons in one slot is not ideal – the more bonus symbols there are, the greater the odds of you failing to land a winning combo.

Both other bonuses (triggered by three or more map or wagon symbols) are both variations on relatively the same thing. You’re basically going to find two click-and-win rounds here. Dig diamonds in the map bonus to win a prize, while the wagon round lets you choose from items to also pocket an instant win cash prize. Neither will blow you away.
