DARK THIRST

About Dark Thirst

We have currently been engaged with writing quite a few reviews on 1 x 2 Gamin Slots. This is another from the stable of what appears to be becoming a prolific designer of video slots. They are a UK based developer, and create games with this market in mind. The theme of this slot becomes very obvious by the name, and is about vampires and all the things related to these species of undead. It is a five reel, twenty-five line slot with a scary top base game prize on the wild of 7 500 coins.

Special Features

For fans of those things that go bump in the night, and the vampire theme in particular, these five reels have plenty to offer. Illustrations are creepily good, ambient sounds do well to create the necessary atmosphere. Reels have been set into a backdrop of the doorway to a crypt, with a shining full moon set behind the reels, and bats that fly up when we press spin. There is also a little black spider hanging down from the lintel of the crypt.

Main icons are a vampire bat, the open bloodies mouth of a vampire, a female red-headed vamp, and a male of the species who looks a little like Tom Cruise in his guise of Lestat for the movie Interview With A Vampire. Lower paying symbols are a clove of garlic, vial of holy water and cross, bible and cross, and a blood filled goblet. The wild is the highest paying symbol which substitutes for all other icons barring the scatter and bonus icon. Most of the symbols animate to a small degree when responsible for creating winning combinations.

Players are able to choose how many pay-lines they wish to have active, but we always feel it is best to keep them all active, and if on a tight budget, choose a lower coin size. Coin bet per line may be toggled to between one and five, and a coins size of between 0.01, and 0.50 is available. The maximum bet is therefore 125.00.

Bonus Features

As is typical with 1 x 2 Gaming slots, the scatter symbol triggers a free spins feature. Ten free spins are given away, and depending on how many scatters land on the lines, a specific prize money is also given away. The Bonus Icon is a Tombstone with the letters RIP written in blood. We were unable to activate this bonus feature, but you might be in for a surprise.
