BONKERS

About Bonkers

Bonkers is an RTG developed classic slot and one that is about as basic as they come, despite its name. The game has been designed to mimic a land-based slot, with simplistic graphics imitating a one-armed bandit in a gambling hall. Bonkers naturally features just three reels, and across those sit a single paylines. You can use the large buttons to alter your chip sizes, bet sizes and spin the reels. There is also a big, red cash out button, and you’re going to want to keep an eye out for that. Having a crack at this slot will see you choose coin sizes that stretch from 0.05 up to 5.00, and you can bet up to three of those per spin. Your bets, therefore, are going to range from 0.05 per spin (with a single coin) up to 15.00 a spin with all three coins in play. The jackpot in Bonkers is set to 6,000 coins, and this is a medium-high volatility slot machine.

Special Features

There isn’t much in the way of slot goodies, but that’s exactly what you’d expect from a classic slot such as Bonkers. Symbols include several coloured bars (any, singles, doubles, and triples), red sevens and the Bonkers slot logo.

For the most part, the game runs just like any classic slot. Landing three of the red sevens will deliver to the prize, and if you’ve got all three coins wagered, that prize will be worth the highest it possibly can be. The other symbols in the game pay far less. The Bonkers symbols themselves don’t deliver cash prizes, but they offer something that is arguably far more valuable. Let’s find out what that is in the next section of this review.

Bonus Feature

While most classic slots, fruit machines and one-armed bandits, have no special features of which to speak, Bonkers does at least have one. Real Time Gaming thought it necessary to include a free spin bonus in this game, and we’re very happy that they did. Two or three Bonkers symbols are required to activate this mode. Once it is triggered, you’ll land three (for two symbols) or ten (for three) free spins on the reels. You can’t retrigger the bonus, and there are no additional goodies woven into its design, but the inclusion of free spins into a classic slot as this is reward enough, we’d say.
