BEJEWELED

About Bejeweled

Bejeweled was one of the very first really big games to hit smartphones. It is no surprise then that it also made its way over into the online casino games industry. Bejeweled is a game where you must make groups of identical jewels. Similar to the mobile game, the more jewels you can match together the better your score – only in the slot game – the better your win! Bejeweled is played over 5 reels, with a total of 10 paylines present. Wagers cost between 0.01 per line, per game; up to 200.00 per game. That is quite a broad wagering range. The super jackpot is fixed at around 20,000 coins, which is certainly fairly large.

Special Features

There is really only one special feature in this game, and that is the Bejeweled icon itself. This icon acts as a wild. Just like in other video slot games, the wild can substitute itself for other symbols. In Bejeweled, there is no icon that the wild cannot replace. Because of the orientation of the paylines (vertical and horizontal), it is actually possible that the player lands himself or herself a pretty sizeable win with this icon.

If the player lands 5 of the Bejeweled wild icons on paylines 1 to 9, they will win 10,000 coins. They must match all five wilds on the tenth payline to land the 20,000 coin jackpot. They must also be playing with the maximum wager to win this amount. However, if the player lands any five matching symbols on the fifth payline, plus another five matching symbols on the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth or tenth paylines, they will win a consolation prize of 8,000 coins.

Players can also increase the game’s speed if they wish, by clicking on the “game speed” button. This is ideal if you wish to play Bejeweled, but are in something of a rush.

Bonus Feature

There are no bonus features in Bejeweled, save for the wild. This slot has become so successful because it works more as an instant win game, than a true slot. It wouldn’t really work if Cryptologic started to add things that detracted from the authentic Bejeweled gameplay experience, would it? In that sense, Bejeweled is perfectly fine for what it is. If you love the original game, you’ll love this version. If you are more of a traditional video slot lover, you probably won’t get your kicks off this title.
