About Zanzibar

Zanzibar is quite an old slot, released a few years back by Williams Interactive (more commonly called WMS Gaming, today). This slot has not aged terribly well, with players instantly noticing that the imagery on the reels are beyond dated, and that the lower paying symbols are represented by rudimentary playing card suit symbols. Zanzibar is played over 5 reels and 30 paylines, but you won’t be able to adjust any of the paylines which appear in the game. What you can adjust are the total stakes you will be wagering per spin. At its cheapest, the Zanzibar slot will cost you 0.30 per spin. At its costliest, expect to be wagering 90.00 per spin. Zanzibar carries a non-progressive jackpot, although it is hardly one to get you terribly excited.

Special Features

Zanzibar uses a Sunset at an oasis as its wild symbol. This wild icon can substitute for all other symbols in the slot, barring the feature. The wild also doubles up on its roles, being the best paying symbol in the slot machine game, too. Wild symbols are only capable of appearing on the first, second, fourth, and fifth reels of this slot.

Sunset Palm icons are also wild, but they only appear on the third reel. These symbols are elongated in shape, and can occupy more of a reel than your standard, run-of-the-mill wild symbols. Again, these are wild for everything save from scatters. The Sunset Palms wild can trigger a Replicating Wild feature, which can see other wilds crop up and bolster your chances to land a win. This feature is not just available in the base game. It can also be used whilst the free spins bonus is in session.

Bonus Feature

The feature icon (scatter symbol) appears as a sword-wielding warrior. Land this symbol three or more times in any positions on the reels, and you will trigger a free spins bonus. Players can start with 10 free games for 3 such symbols, or they can boost that 20 free spins for 4 such symbols. If players are lucky enough to land all 5 scatters, then they can pocket 40 free spins. During the free spins bonus round, all winnings will be doubled courtesy of a 32x multiplier. Additional free spins can be won by landing more scatter son the reels during this bonus.
