THE DREAM

About The Dream

The Dream is another of a series of IGT video slots that makes use of split symbols and super stacks. These features appear to be trademarked by this brand, and offer a whole new way to win, as well as be fascinated by these sorts of game. This is a five reel, forty pay-line slot offering a top in game prize of a measly 400.00.

Special Features

Once you have seen the icons used in The Dream, it will become immediately apparent that this game has been based on the Shakespearian – A Midsummer Nights Dream. There are five reels set into a flowery, garlanded type backdrop, which features a donkey garlanded with flowers, doves, both lovely winged fairies, and pretty winged boys with flowers in their hair. A special split symbol doubles up all of these icons randomly.

Low paying icons are Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten, and all stacked symbol positions on a reel transform into the same symbol, at the start of each game.Special icons include “The Dream” logo, which is also wild, and substitutes for all other symbols, as well as counts for two of each picture icon on a played line.

Activating pay-line can be done by the player in tranches of ten. So, this can be set at one, ten, twenty, thirty or forty, while the coin bet range wide, and can be adapted to all players’ needs. This starts at 0.01, where a maximum bet would cost 0.40, and increases up to 10.00. It somehow does not seem worthwhile to spend 400.00 on a slot game with a maximum in game prize of only 400.00 for dropping five of “The Dream” logos on active pay lines. However, this is not all that can be won, there are other ways to win too.

Bonus Feature

A free games bonus is on offer, and triggers when the “Free Games Bonus” icon lands in the right place on the reels. Only three will show, and these drop in on reels two, three and four. Seven free games are on offer, and these take the place of free spins, but there is truly nothing interactive about any of IGT slots bonus games. Some offer a little more than others, The Dream only offers seven, and despite the fact that we like the theme, we feel there are more lucrative slots on which to spend our entertainment budget.
