Special Features
Graphic representation of icons is rather nice and “piratey”, well-illustrated, as well as in theme, ambient sounds are suitable too. Reels are dropped into a setting which resembles a pirates’ map, and is rather pleasing to the eye. Pay-lines are indicated at the side of each reel, and set into a gold dubloon. Icons are a Treasure Map, Chest of Treasure, Cannons, the Jolly Roger, a hand hook, old-fashion hand gun, and sword. The scatter is a bag filled with gold, but there does not seem to be a wild symbol.
Abetting range allows for one to five lines to be activated, we suggest activating them all to maximise chances of winning. One coin per line is fixed in this slot, and a coin size of between 0.02, up to 2.00 makes this not an expensive game to play, so, perhaps it would not suit high rollers. However there are many fans of these games who will appreciate the low cost to play, and it certainly promises to entertain.
Bonus Features
A bonus game is triggered for landing three or more Bonus Pirate Ship symbols anywhere on the reels. This then opens up into a new screen where the pirate’s parrot is flying with a bag of treasure, and five cannons are aimed at a floating ship. Boxes of treasure, gleaming jewels, and all sorts of symbols of great wealth are scattered across this backdrop.
Choose a cannon to defeat the Pirate ship, where a treasury of multipliers are on offer. This writers’ aim was definitely off, as we did not hit the ship, but sadly did away with the parrot. We only won a 2 x multiplier for making that crass mistake. Between 2 x and 100 x multipliers are available in this bonus game. Just imagine winning a 100 x multiplier on wager - that would really be hitting the mother lode?!
