Merkur Gaming’s Magic Mirror video slot is another one of their fairytale themed games, and it is pretty basic in terms of what it offers to players. Magic Mirror offers up some pretty primitive graphics on its 5 reels and 10 paylines. The slot is also not exactly flexible when it comes to wagering on those paylines. Players are not going to be able to adjust any of the paylines in this slot. Coin values range from 0.10 up to 20.00, and they also happen to be the minimum and maximum wagers in the game. Although the slot is cheap enough to play, we would have preferred a bit more flexibility over the paylines - perhaps even more of them. The non-progressive jackpot in this slot is quite a decent prize, although you are going to struggle to land all 5 lady icons on the few paylines that Magic Mirror has to offer, and you need to do that to win the prize in the first place.
Special Features
Special features are few and far between in this slot. That shouldn’t be too surprising, though. Merkur Gaming are a small-scale operation, so their slots aren’t known to be bonus heavy. There are wild symbols and they take the shape of a magic mirror. This lion-headed mirror can substitute for all other symbols in the slot without exception.
The wild symbol isn’t the best paying icon in the slot, but it can offer you reasonably good wins as the joint-second top paying symbol. Bonus symbols are present in this game, and they take on the shape of wilds, too. The wilds symbols in this slot are multi-purpose, then.
Bonus Feature
When players land bonus icons on the reels, they can trigger a petite bonus feature. You will need to land at least 3 of them on the reels, after which you will be rewarded with a total of 10 free games. The free spins bonus in this slot doesn’t exactly come with any added perks. Do not expect to find multipliers, or special wilds in this feature. Merkur Gaming just aren’t that sort of developer, so Magic Mirror is a little bare in the features department, all things considered.
Magic Mirror has a nice theme, but from a gameplay perspective, you might say that the slot has been somewhat poorly executed by Merkur Gaming.
