JAMES DEAN

About James Dean

We won’t go into a massive monologue here about who James Dean was. You will either be familiar with the young actor, who died tragically in 1955, or you won’t. The slot is named after him, and features some of his more charismatic poses. The James Dean slot is played over 5 reels, and NextGen Gaming (as its creators) have chosen to offer you a standard 25 lines to bet on in this game. Wagering on the James Dean slot is really simple, with coin values stemming from 0.01 up to 2.00 in all. You are not permitted to adjust the paylines in this slot game, so you are going to be wagering anything from 0.25 up to 50.00 a spin. Players can win as much as 5,000 coins in this slot.

Special Features

A number of quality special features do appear in the game, including wilds. Wilds feature the actor himself, and can appear on the second, third, and fourth reels at the same time. These wilds can replace all other symbols in the game, barring scatters and bonus icons.

If three wilds appear at any one time, then 3 re-spins will be offered to the player. During these re-spins, the second, third, or fourth reels will become expanding wilds.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame star icon is the James Dean slot’s scatter symbol. If it appears 2, 3, 4 or 5 times in any position on the reels, the player will pocket scattered wins worth 2x, 5x, 15x, or 250x their total bet. Scatters can also be used to trigger a bonus round in this video slot. We’ll come to that in a moment, but first, there is another bonus worth mentioning.

The James Dean Pick Bonus can be triggered if players land 3 alternative James Dean icons on the reels. This will offer you a 150x total bet multiplier. If you land these during free spins, or during Legend Spins, the multiplier will extend to 300x, or 750x your total bet, respectively.

Bonus Feature

Should you be able to bag 3 or more scattered star icons in any position on the reels, then you will bag a total of 10 free games. During this free spins bonus, any winnings you encounter will be doubled by the slot, offering you a decent chance to bag some pretty spiffy wins. During this free spins bonus round, if you manage to land the clapper board icon anywhere on the reels, then a Legend Spins feature is activated during this bonus. It will offer you an increased multiplier, meaning that all of your winnings in the free spins bonus with this feature activated will be multiplied by 5x their normal rate of pay.
