COSMIC QUEST II

About Cosmic Quest: Episode 2 – Mystery Planets

As you might imagine, this is the second slot to be released in Rival Gaming’s Cosmic Quest series. Cosmic Quest: Episode 2 – Mystery Planets moves the action away from moon explorers, into deep space territory. As a result, the imagery in this slot is a lot more fanciful than in its predecessor. Cosmic Quest: Episode 2 – Mystery Planets features the same gameplay structure as the previous slot. This means that there are 5 reels and 20 paylines of action, with minimum and maximum wagers ranging from a low of just 0.01 per line, per spin, up to a high of 50.00 per spin, respectively. Just like in Episode 1, the non-progressive jackpot is fixed at 5,000 coins.

Special Features

In the first game, the wild was only expanding in the free spins bonus. That isn’t the case with this sequel slot. All wilds expand at all times in this game. Winds are multiplied by the number of expanding wilds appearing on screen, and you can use this symbol to win the non-progressive jackpot if it appears 5 times on any active line.

The astronaut acts as a scatter icon in this round. If players land 3 or more such icons anywhere on the screen, they will trigger a rather petite pick and win bonus round in this slot game. This bonus is equally as basic as that which appeared in its predecessor.

As for the winning icons, they have changed. Now, landers, radios, exploring robots, and a crater-ridden moon make up the lowest paying symbols. The best paying symbols are the red, blue, ringed, sand, and green planets.

Bonus Feature

Cosmic Quest: Episode 2 – Mystery Planets has chosen to make a jetpack its bonus icon. It is called a Jackpot Jetpack, but since the wild is the jackpot icon, that sounds rather silly. Instead, this is a scatter icon, and when it appears 3 or more times anywhere on the screen, free spins will be awarded to the player.

Players who pocket a total of 3, 4 or 5 of these icons on the reels will win a total of 10, 25 or 50 free games. 50 free games is a vast sum of free spins, and that will come in rather nicely. All winnings in this bonus round are doubled by the slot game.
