About Bars & Bells The Slot

The name pretty much says it all, this online slot from the Amaya Gaming stable is designed in the age-old tradition of the pub fruit machine. It is a five reel game with twenty fixed pay-lines, and although we could not seem to access the pay-tables, offers plenty of different ways to win.

Special Features

Icons are all the traditional symbols we find in a pub fruit machine. These are Cherries, plums, lemons, watermelon, 7’s and of course bars and Bells – Bells are the wild icon and substitute to create winning combinations. The Bars and Bells logo is a powerful icon which triggers the bonus game.

Bets are made across all twenty lines, as this number of pay-lines is fixed. A coin bet range of between 0.02 up to 5.00 is allowed, and the player may choose how many coins per line to play. The choices are one, two, three, four and five coins per line.

An additional 5.00 is added to the bet, to participate in the Streak Breaker feature. This amount increases the more coins per line are played. For example when playing with five coins per line, the Streak Breaker feature costs 25.00. The Streak Breaker is like a kind of insurance where every time the player loses on a spin, another coin is earned. When five coins have been earned, and the player has lost five times in a row, the BREAKER activates and the player wins something based on their spend. If the player breaks the streak by winning, coins clear out and the feature starts from the beginning again

Bonus Features

As well as the Streak Breaker which could definitely be considered a bonus game, when a winning combination is made with the Bars & Bels logo, a bonus game is on offer. This game triggers to the tune of three of the icons landing on the lines. Another screen then opens offering the player a choice between twenty free spins at x 3, fifteen free spins at x 2, ten, seven or five free spins at x 2.

The trick to winning the most in this bonus feature, is in choosing from two boards of nine squares each marked with “Question Marks”(?). Three matching bonus games need to be selected. This reviewermanaged to match seven free spins with the x two multiplier and won only twenty coins. The second time landing in the bonus game won us 700 coins.
