About Atomic Age
Retro is in, it is the new black, and Rival Gaming is keeping nostalgiaalive in this, Atomic Age, one of their latest new releases. This is a five reel slot with fifteen pay-lines, where entertainment is delivered right to your door. Playing in fun mode allows the fan of slot games to get a feel for them before spending any real money.
Play atomic age across all fifteen pay-lines from a penny (0.01) a pop, in a coin bet range that increases up to a possible 1.00 wager. Take this at five coins per line, and a maximum possible bet of 75.00 is the name of the game. Of course coin size, and wagering lines, as well as amount of coins played can be changed to suit the every players’ pocket. A top in-game prize of 7500 coins makes this game somewhat more attractive than others might be.
Special Features
The Atomic Age is set in a well and truly 1950’s backdrop, and we get a feel for this immediately from a graphic, movie-like introduction to the game. Old school sound effects deliver an ambient feel for the theme, while icons include -soda pop bottles, cash registers, ice-cream sundaes, a pink Cadillac, rocket ship, TV, record players, satellites and a wild flying saucer.
The wild flying saucer is the Wild Symbol, land two of these on the lines to win ten coins, three will win two-hundred, four wins one thousand five-hundred, and five wins the top prize of seven thousand five-hundred.Wilds also substitute for other icons, but it is not really clear on the pay table whether these substitute for scatters too. This is not normally the case in most slots games.
Bonus Features
The pink Cadillac plays the role of the scatter bonus, while the Cash Register triggers another. This means there are two bonus features in this slot – the Drive In Bonus Round, and the Cash Register Bonus Round. At least three of either of these icons needs to drop from the reels onto an active pay-line to trigger either bonus game. What we need to do now is try to trigger one of these bonus rounds. Sadly in the time allotted we had absolutely no luck, but that is how the cookie crumbles when we play a slot game. At least we were kept entertained, and had fun for a half-hour.
