AMBER SKY

About Amber Sky

IGT launched Amber Sky in February 2017 as a land-based casino game. It was not as successful as some of their other releases but was unveiled in the online casino world all the same in coordination with GTech G2, one of IGT’s wings, no pun intended. The Amber Sky slot is loosely based on pilots and air hostesses. We would not say that this is a winning theme in terms of popularity with slot players, but at least IGT has come with something original here. There are plenty of thematic (and holiday) symbols present on the reels of this IGT developed slot. To walk away with the top slot prize, you will need to acquire five of the golden idol symbols on a line. This is not an overly thematic emblem, but we will let that go. Amber Sky is played over 5 reels and 25 paylines. You can expect to see minimum stakes costing at least 0.01 (per line) per spin, up to capped maximum bets of 250.00 a turn.

Special Features

There are no wild emblems in this game, which is a bit frustrating. However, Amber Sky is not devoid of goodies. For instance, there is a scatter symbol in the shape of a plane. If you were to manage to land this symbol on the reels three or more times, you would land a free spin round.

There is also a jackpot emblem in the shape of a diamond. Again, this is not very thematic, but that seems to be a running story. When three, four, or five of these jackpot diamond symbols appear, you will trigger a Diamond Dream Jackpot Bonus round. That bonus round can see you potentially win Silver, Diamond or Platinum progressive prizes, depending on whether you started the bonus with three, four or five diamonds, so it really does matter how many you acquire.

Bonus Feature

As touched on, there is a free spin bonus in play in Amber Sky. You only need three scatters to trigger the feature. Once it is triggered, you will be rewarded with several spins. You can land further spins in the bonus round, so all is not lost if you fail to pick up big wins straight from the get-go. However, do not expect a flurry of additional features to spring to the rescue in this free spin bonus. What you see is virtually all you are going to get in Amber Sky.
