8 XPLOSION

About 8 Xplosion

This online video slot games offers players five reels, and a massive fifty pay-lines (yes, it is a rather large game). It is brought to us from Espresso Games – not a software developer that we are very familiar with, but it certainly is fun to play. It is a newly released slot, only launched on the 20th August 2013.

The minimum wager is across five lines, with a coin bet range of between 0.01, and 2.00. Across fifty lines the maximum wager is a whopping 500.00! A bit steep for our tastes, but might appeal to the high rolling player. The maximum prize appears to be 5000.00 within the main game, but obviously can grow to more with the addition of a bonus feature. There are quite a number of bonus features that give this slot slightly more appeal, as well as a good percentage return to player (RTP).

Special Features

8 Xplosion features a theme that is slightly reminiscent of a Noughts and Crosses game, however, “8” is the pivotal number, and explosions are the name of the game. Icons are also bars, and card indices icons – clubs, spades, hearts, and diamonds.

Graphically speaking, we did not find 8 Xplosion to be anything special, it all seems a little bit vague and misty, but perhaps this was a purposeful design. It is very colourful, and brightly lit, like any game in this genre should be. Ambient sounds are suitably slot-like, and the reels run fine, but we found the controls to be not quite so user friendly. However, once mastery over the controls has been met, this increases entertainment value.

Bonus Feature

Probably the biggest appeal 8 Xplosion has is its promise of various bonus features. Here we find the Mystic Cloud bonus that offers free spins for two or more “Mystic Cloud” icons landing on the reels. Two clouds equals five free spins, and this increases in increments up to five cloud icons earning the player twenty free spins. In addition to this, before the free spins are doled out, a special prize is drawn. The special prizes are as follows:

• 8 Xplosion
• Colour Bonus
• Win Multipliers

Each special prize is self-explanatory, obviously features its own benefits, which offers the player more chances to win. The more chances a player has to win, obviously benefits them.
