12 ZODIACS

About 12 Zodiacs

Habanero’s 12 Zodiacs is a progressive jackpot slot which features plenty of animals. However, you might assume that most of these will represent a sign of the Zodiac. On the contrary, though; the symbols in this game have more to do with Chinese New Year than anything else. Rats, snakes, dragons, and more all help to push the slot’s clearly Asian theme. 12 Zodiacs’ progressive jackpot certainly isn’t going to blow anybody away (it is often around the 5,000 credit mark) so wagers aren’t going to be overly expensive, either. In fact, the 5-reel, 18-line slot can be played for as little as 0.01 per line per spin, on account of the paylines being adjustable. Players should also note that this game does allow them to stake more substantial sums if they wish. At most, players can slap down bets costing as much as 900.00 a spin.

Special Features

Landing full moon symbols will see the icons replace any others you need to bag payline wins, save for Chinese lanterns. These symbols do only appear on the second, third, fourth and fifth reels, though, and offer no cash prizes on their own.

At any point in the game, a random moon symbol in a winning combo may turn itself into a sun. If it does this, it will multiply the value of your winning combination by 3x the standard rate of pay.

Scatter icons appear as Chinese lanterns (as mentioned), and they can dish out scattered cash prizes worth 2x, 8x and 38x your stake when 3, 4 or 5 appear anywhere on the reels during a spin. Scatters will also dish out free spins when 3 or more appear on the reels.

12 Zodiacs’ progressive jackpot can be won at the end of any spin in the game. It is triggered at random. As mentioned, the winnings do not tend to be worth as much as you may find in other progressive jackpot slots, but then again, the stakes won’t set you back very much either.

Bonus Feature

In the free spin bonus, players will note that only “zodiac” symbols appear on the reels. This means that the low-paying icons are removed. There is a chance that zodiac symbols can turn into scatters during this bonus, and then multipliers are applied to your winnings. The free spins bonus consists of just 6 free spins, as the bonus round cannot be retriggered.
