About Pai Gow Poker

Are you getting wiped out by online slots? Then the Pai Gow Poker may be what you have probably been looking for. Unlike Seven Card Stud or Texas hold 'em, Pai Gow poker is easy to adopt and requires only a little strategy. Pai gow poker comes with a slight alteration from regular poker which is normally played between players. In this variation the player goes against the dealer. The object of the game is to form a pair and a five card hand from the seven cards dealt to you. You are required to form these two hands from the cards dealt to you to bag a win. Pai gow poker also features a fifty three card deck which means it consist a joker that can be substituted for an Ace or used to compliment a straight, flush or straight flush. Pai gow Poker is derived from and based on a Chinese domino game with the same name. The major difference being that the former is based on poker and the latter is centered on dominos.

Special Features

As I earlier pointed out the premise of the game is to form two hands and beat the dealer. Winning both hands entitles you to double your stake. A win of one hand each ends in a ‘push’ and your wager is returned. The opposite is true on the other side. The dealer wins the game if he wins both hands. Since the tie constitutes the house edge, you also lose if a hand is tied.

Bonus Feature

Also referred to as Fortune Pai gow, the game’s bonus feature comes with one of the best offers out there. The bonus game comes with a straightforward requirement: the value of a player’s low hand must not exceed the value of his high hand. For example, if your high hand is a pair of fours, you cannot place a pair of sevens into your low hand. This implies that you would need a good strategy to form a strong low hand without unnecessarily incapacitating your high hand.

Pai Gow is an excellent variation of poker. The gameplay is exciting and the rules are simple. What’s more, it’s a remarkable deviation from spinning the reels and a perfect option for people looking for this kind of diversion.
