This version of the game follows most of the standard rules of blackjack with one exception. You will get a bonus if you get a Blackjack that lives up to its name. That is, if you get a black Jack to form your Blackjack, you will get a payoff of 2-1 rather than the standard payoff of 3-2.
This extra payoff is nice, since it increases your payoff by 30%. If you bet 10.00, you will collect 20.00 with this bonus instead of the usual 15.00. But the payoff should really be higher. In a deck of cards, there are two black Jacks among the 20 cards that count as ten. So your odds of completing a Blackjack with a black Jack are 9-1, not the small percentage that you get in this game.
However, there are no real concessions required in Bonus Blackjack for this extra return. The little extra bonus does not seem to change any of the other rules of this version of the game.
Features of Bonus Blackjack
There are other versions of Bonus Blackjack that offer a more proper reward if you get a Blackjack with a black Jack. Those other games offer a payoff of 10-1. But those games require an extra side bet on the bonus.
In this version of the game, which was created by 1X2 Gaming, there is no extra bet required. What’s more, this is a multi-hand version of the game that offers you the chance to play three hands at one time. That means that you can play more hands and give yourself a better chance to get the bonus.
The other, more usual features of 1X2 Gaming Blackjack Bonus let you double down any two cards you are dealt. You can also split any pair of equal value. You can also double down after splitting any pair other than Aces. You will only get one card for each Ace you split.
The rules used in this version of Bonus Blackjack are quite standard. Normally, if you get any extra advantage in a variation, such as a bonus payoff, you lose something else. But that isn’t the case in this game.
