About Mega Gems Slots

Mega Gems is one of the latest “Gems” theme slot games from Bestsoft. It is a progressive jackpot game, and we have not reviewed one of these “biggies” for a while, with up to 200 000 coins on over. This is a five reel, ten pay-line game, and just by the way, our second spin on Mega Gems won us 2800 coins.

Special Features

There are a great many special features in this stunningly crafted online video slot. Basically five reels have been dropped into a “space odyssey” kind of backdrop. Even the ambient sounds give it that eerie, spacey type feel. The highest paying icon is a sapphire, where five on the lines with bring down a generous 2 500 coins. This icon is followed by an emerald, amethyst, topaz, not sure what the light blue stone, then a ruby, and a yellow stone. There is a wild which looks like a nest of gems, and a Jackpot Icon for the PJP.

The Wild is an expanding wild which fills the reel in which it lands, as it creates tons more winning combinations. This icon only appears on reels two, three, and four, but when it does, you will be in for a rather large surprise. Hopefully! Jackpot symbols are the size of a complete reel, so, if three complete jackpot symbols, fit and fill three complete reels on two, three and four, then the progressive prize will come tumbling down. Please note that the progressive prize is only released on a maximum bet.

As far as betting goes, there is not a wide coin denomination to choose from, but settings can be manipulated to play this game at low wagers. The current Progressive Jackpot Prize stands at 48,032.13 for a maximum bet of 0.10 x 10 lines, at ten coins per line. The size of the wager is 10.00. Obviously the higher the coin denomination, the larger the progressive prize will be. For example with the maximum wager of 100.00, this prize multiplies in size to the huge amount of 476,478.50.

The point of making a maximum bet is to play all ten lines at ten coins per line, then manipulate the coin size to fit your own pocket. There are no bonus games available, this is a straight-forward in game prize slot, where there is a chance of winning big might be small, but progressive prizes grow to very large sizes. All it takes is one maximum bet, and this might be enough to bring the house down.
