About Deuces Wild Video Poker
The name Deuces Wild is fundamentally a name that is in the public domain, so, is not necessarily a trademarked, or brand name that is particular to any software provider. In the majority software developers all have a version or two of this type of video poker on offer, and regardless of developer, the rules remain the same. This version is brought to us from Espresso Games, and offers a top prize of 4000 coins, which is pretty normal.
Special Features
Well Espresso has brewed up a nice little version of Deuces Wild here. It is set into a bright blue coloured backdrop, with big bold cards, and the pay tables right where we can see them – just above the cards in play, and highlighted depending on how many coins are in play. It is simple to understand, simple to play, and there is a “no-frills” sort of feel about it. This reviewer has played Espresso video poker previously and the games are all very similar.
Hands to win are very similar to traditional poker hands, and these commence at three of a kind. Unlike Jacks or better which will pay on a single pair, and two-pair. The reason for them starting at a higher count is due to the fact that the Deuce or Two card is wild, and helps create more winning combinations. After three of a kind comes a straight, flush, full house, four of a kind, straight flush, five of a kind, deuced Royal flush, four deuces, and the top winning hand of a Natural Royal Flush which to be won needs a maximum wager.
Wagering takes place across one to five coins which can be changed by clicking the “Bet 1” button. The player can see on the pay tables how many coins they have in action at any one time. A coin size range of between 0.05 and 2.00 does not make this a very high variance game, so there is a comfortable range for most players. This is not a multi-hand version of video poker, but an auto-play feature may be activated and set for between ten and five-hundred auto-play spins.
Bonus Features
There are two bonus gamble games that are activate whenever a player wins. These are a Hi-Lo feature, where we have to guess what card comes next, and Double Fever, where we have to select a higher card only in order to double our money.
