Pirate 21
About Pirate 21
Pirate Blackjack 21, a creation of Betsoft Gaming, alters a number of the traditional rules of Blackjack. Many of the payoffs in this game have been changed and even the six decks of cards that are used have been altered significantly.
Some of the basic rules are still in play in Pirate Blackjack 21. You still want to beat the house, 21 is still the target and the house still hits on 16 or lower. But the four 10's have been removed from each deck and of course that makes it harder to get a blackjack. To compensate for that, any time you get to 21 in this game, you win, no matter if the dealer has the same number.
Special Features
There are also special payoffs offered if you use a lot of cards to get to 21. If you need five cards, you'll get 3-2. With six cards, you'll be paid 2-1 and if you use seven or more cards, you'll get 3-1. Another payoff comes if you get to 21 with a 6-7-8 or a 7-7-7. Those card combinations pay 3-2, or 2-1 if they are all of the same suit. If those cards are all in spades, the hand pays 3-1.
There are a couple of special payoffs in Pirate Blackjack 21 which are gigantic. If you have three 7's that are all suited and the dealer has a 7 for his up card, you will get 1,000.00 if you bet between 5.00-24.00 on the hand. If your bet was 25.00 or more, you'll get 5000.00.
Object
You are allowed to split Aces more than once in Pirate Blackjack 21. You're also allowed to double up on any cards. But with all blackjack hands winning, there is nothing to insure, so there is no insurance bet offered in this game.
There is a special side bet you can play. There are several possible payoffs offered in this wager. If the dealer's up card matches either one of your first two cards, you're paid 4-1. If the matching card is of the same suit, the payoff is 9-1.
One other feature about Pirate Blackjack 21 is that you are allowed to play as many as three hands at one time. You can make separate bets of different.
