About American Roulette
Not all casino software developers have produced table games. However, of those which have, you can rest assured that a few roulette table games have come to the forefront. Rival Gaming has an impressive arsenal of RNG table games, and American Roulette is one of their most popular. This release is now quite dated, but it has all the essentials to deliver a traditional roulette table game experience to its users. A gorgeous looking, animated roulette wheel sits in the backdrop, with the betting board splashed across the centre of the screen. Regrettably, you are set to miss out on the action a touch. Once a bet is placed, the roulette wheel spins, but it is tricky to see where the ball drops, as you do not get a camera close-up of the action.
Wagers and Features
Like many American Roulette games, this one has some flexible limits. You can wager anything from a base minimum of 1.00 up to a table limit of 500.00 a bet in this Rival Gaming release. However, it is important to note that you will not get to place up to 500.00 a spin on outside bets, though. The 500.00 limit only applies to inside bets. Outside bets have a cap of 200.00 a turn.
While you do get a spin history (displayed in the upper right-hand corner) of the screen, most of this game’s playing surface is dominated by the betting board. It almost seems a shame to have such a good luck animated roulette wheel sitting in the background and not be used. You will not get close-ups or even get to see it in the flesh.
While some basic features, such as re-bets and clear all bet options, are available, you do not get racetrack options or side-bets. Instead, Rival Gaming’s American Roulette is as traditional as basic RNG table games come.
Final Thoughts
American Roulette is the basic table game you were probably expecting it to be. While it is not bizarre that you do not get a racetrack and an array of side bets in this game, the lack of animation and excitement (as the roulette wheel is far away) does sort of diminish the enjoyability of this game. However, if you are playing at a Rival Gaming casino and fancy a spot of American Roulette, this table game will do the job - just about.
