About Roulette American

BetSoft is an online casino software developer that has delivered a viable virtual version of American Roulette, or “Roulette American” as they call it. There is a difference between European and American versions of this best-beloved of casino table games, in that the American version has two spaces for zero’s on the wheel. One space is a single zero as in the European version, the other is a double zero space. While some casino gaming aficionados would argue that the additional zero pocket offers the house a better edge (and it does), the thrill of playing this game, and perhaps taking a bigger risk may actually be what obviously appeals to the fans of an American version.

Features

The rules and felt layout of Roulette American is the same as any other roulette game. The nice thing about this and many other version is that they may be played free for first. In fact we believe that this is one of the best features of all, as it allows a novice or beginner player to learn the game without any unnecessary losing lessons.

Graphically the game is an excellent 3D rendering, and there is a ton of evidence to support that it is popularly played. It is as feature rich as a game of online roulette can be, and offers appropriate ambient sound to encourage the player to feel as though they are playing from a live casino floor. It offers a varied betting range (0.25 minimum up to 100.00 maximum) which should appeal to all types of players, except perhaps high rollers, when playing for real money stakes. Do take the time to play for free, it is fun, and helps get a really good feel for the game.

Strategy

There is no true tested strategy for playing roulette, unlike Blackjack. Much like the slots (although some betting skills can be employed), roulette is a completely random number game. If anyone attempts to convince you that they have a winning strategy for you, and are thinking of purchasing this, we suggest rather placing that money on a spin of the wheel. Just remember with the additional “00” pocket there are two chances to lose, and plenty of chances to win. Additionally the two-zeros spot offers the opportunity for a specific bet that would not normally be found on a European wheel. A comprehensive help sections takes the player through rules, pay-outs, tips and controls.
