About Fruitoids

Fruitoids is a bizarre but incredibly popular video slot, which has been created by Yggdrasil, an online casino software developer very much on their way up. This video slot features fruit, but doesn’t contain your usual cherries, melons and oranges. Instead, these are alien fruit, which makes the slot stand out from other similarly themed games. Fruitoids is played over 5 reels, with a total of 25 paylines available for you to bet on. The slot also contains coin values which range from 0.0032 (yes, we’re serious), up to 2.00 in total. This will enable players to wager anything from 0.08 per spin, up to 50.00 per spin.

Special Features

Across the top of the reels is a multiplier bar. When a player forms a winning combination, they will pocket a free re-spin, with all winning symbols held into place. The more symbols they can draw and add to those already existing winning combinations, the higher the multipliers they will have added to their winnings. Multipliers of 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x and 5x exist in this slot.

Unfortunately, Fruitoids does not contain any wild symbols. Admittedly, though, you don’t really need wild icon with the multiplier and re-spin feature, which is key to this game. The more winning symbols you encounter, the more re-spins you will get, which makes the winning symbols become sticky and stay on the reels for longer. They are just as useful as wilds, really.

So, which symbols are the best ones to go for? Those symbol would have to be the purple spherical fruits. When 5 of these appear on any active payline in the slot machine game, you can pocket wins worth up to 500 coins in all, via the non-progressive jackpot.

Final thoughts

Fruitoids is clever and creative. Yggdrasil have developed a slot here that is quite unlike any other currently on the market, and for that they have to be commended. The very unusual but ultimately appealing style of gameplay has already drawn big crowds to this game, and helped cement Yggdrasil as a video slot software developer that is very much on the way up.
