About Dragon Reborn

Dragon Reborn is supposed to be themed on the fantastical and magical topic of dragons. However, like many EGT slots, you couldn’t really tell. The casino software providers tend to inundate their reels with generic high playing card symbols and precious few thematic ones. This doesn’t exactly fill us with much confidence. Dragon Reborn offers up a primitive selection of just 20 paylines spread over its 5 reels, and players can choose to play with 1, 5, 10, 15 or 20 paylines in all. Between 20 and 400 coins can be wagered per spin (EGT’s wagering range isn’t quite as flexible as those found in other developers’ slots) with the top prize that you can win in this slot being worth around 2,000 coins in all. To win that prize, you need to land 5 of the male hero symbols on any active payline.

Special Features

Wild symbols appear as dragon eye symbols, and these can appear on the second, third fourth and fifth reels, but not the first reel. The symbols can substitute for all other icons, although they cannot replace scatter symbols. Wilds have no cash prizes of their own to offer.

Scatters appear as glowing and fiery orbs. These symbols can appear on the second, third and fourth reels, and you will need them to show up on all three if you are going to trigger the free spins bonus in the slot. Players will also be rewarded with 100 coins for triggering the bonus round.

Bonus Feature

Once players have managed to land free spin icons on the 3 applicable reels, they will activate Dragon Reborn’s bonus round. In this feature, players can win between 10 and 25 free spins. During that feature, an extra symbol will be chosen as a wild symbol. This wild can replace all other symbols (although not wilds, and not other scatters). It is pretty simple stuff, and the bonus round has a lot in common with Novomatic’s slots.

The excitement level is pretty low in Dragon Reborn, and the lack of features, coupled with the fiddly wagering range, low-value prizes, and sketchy graphics/theme won’t fill too many players with confidence. If you’re a big nut for dragon-themed slots, though, you may still find something to your liking in this bizarrely designed and elementary video slot from EGT.
