About Dog Pound

Rival Gaming’s Dog Pound video slot is about hunting down and catching hounds for the pound. Truthfully, the graphics in this video slot are certainly nothing to write how about. They are quite poor when compared to other slot games. Dog Pound is sometimes known as Dog Pound Dollars, but that doesn’t make it any better. Coin sizes of 0.01 up to 1.00 can be selected with players able to stake up to 5 per payline in this game. 15 paylines are present in all, across the slot’s 5 reels, with players able to stake anything from a floor of 0.01 per line, per spin, up to a ceiling of 75.00 per spin on this game.

Special Features

The special features which appear in Dog Pound are exactly spectacular, either. The wild icon is the big dog, and when it appears, it can replace all other symbols in the game, barring scatter and jackpot icons. It can also offer a 2x multiplier on all wins in which it appears.

The scatter icon in Dog Pound is the pup. When this icon appears 2, 3, 4 or 5 times anywhere on the screen, the player will pocket scattered wins of 2x, 5x, 20x or 500x their total bet.

By contrast, the jackpot icon offers wins of 3x, 30x, 125x or 750x your total bet, for landing 2, 3, 4 or 5 of these icons on a payline. Even though this symbol is the “jackpot icon”, players can win more (up to 10,000 coins) by landing 5 wilds on any active payline.

Bonus Feature

A free spins bonus round has been included in Dog Pound, although it is certainly nothing worth getting excited over. Should the player land 3, 4 or 5 of the free spins icons in any position on the reels, then they will trigger a free spins bonus.

That bonus round consists of just 15 free spins, and all of your winnings are met with 3x multipliers. Before we celebrate, let us just say that wins are hard to come by in this game, and players won’t find it very easy to trigger the bonus in the first game.

Whether you look at Dog Pound from a graphical, bonus or wagering perspective, there isn’t actually that much to boast about. This slot is poorly designed, not easy on the eye, and doesn’t offer you much in return. Rival Gaming can do so much better.
