DEUCES AND JOKERS

About Deuces and Joker Video Poker

There are a number of versions of Deuces and Joker video poker. Just about every software developer has them available online and in live casinos, and this version comes from Betsoft. We can only assume that the name “Deuces and Joker” is in the public domain, as is the case with so many other video poker, and other pokervarieties. In this one there is a top prize of 10000 coins up for grabs, which appears to be normal for Deuces and Joker. It certainly makes the thrill of playing more exciting when there is a large prize like this up for grabs.

Special Features

Besides the especially large top prize money in this game, what also makes it special, and from our point of view, what makes all Betsoft video poker special, is the layout of the machine. It actually looks like a 3D poker machine, alike to those that are played in land casinos. The design even goes as far as a bill and coin slots for life-like effect.

Hand ranking for the top prize is five wilds, but remember that both Jokers and Deuce are wild, so, getting this hand is not as impossible as it might seem – to win the full 10000 coins, five coins must be played. Next in line for a nice prize on five coins, is the archetypal Natural Royal Flush for 4000 coins. Then comes Four Deuces, Wild Royal Flush, Five of a Kind, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Flush/Full House, Straight, and Three of a Kind.

There is a very neat betting range that makes Deuces and Joker appropriate for all kinds of risk takers. For the low-rolling player, they can bet 0.02 coin denomination over five coins for a low risk wager of only 0.10. The higher risk player can wager up to 1.00 over five coins for a wager of 5.00, and if the size of the prize is any indication of variance, we have seen the same prize on offer for a 25.00 a pop.

Bonus Features

As there is in most online video poker games, there is a gamble feature in Deuces and Joker. This is a double or lose all game. It activates whenever there is a win, and we believe there is absolutely no strategy to winning this game. Random cards are dealt, and we either get lucky and win, or lose the lot. Risk takers and thrill seekers will probably enjoy it more than the careful player.
