About Anything’s Wild

Anything’s Wild, is a video poker title which has created by The Art of Games, as a realistic looking video poker machine. The basic premise behind this title, is that the player choose their own wild icon. This gives it a slight edge on other video poker games, which have fixed wilds, or no wilds at all. From a design point of view, the game is quite nice looking, with flashing buttons and yet a simplistic style that will appeal to almost all gamers.

How to play

Once their bet has been staked, the player can hit the deal button to start gameplay. They will be dealt five cards. The idea behind all video poker titles, including this one, is to build the best hand that you possibly can.

You can opt to hold specific cards if you like the look of them, or find them useful for building your hand. Each individual card can be held if you wish. Once you have chosen what cards you wish to hold, click the deal button once more, to replace non-held cards with new ones. After this, your hand will be compared to the payable hands in the pay-table. If there is a match, then you will win the amount specified in the pay-table.

In the top left hand corner of the screen is your wild card. You can choose which card you want to be wild. If that wild card appears in your hand, it acts as a substitute card, taking the place of any other card that you need to complete a winning hand.

Wagering and prizes

Coin values in the Anything’s Wild video poker game, start out at just 0.05 in value. Other denominations include 0.10, 0.20, 0.50, and the maximum coin size is 1.00. Players can opt to wager between 1 and 5 coins per hand. This gives Anything’s Wild a minimum stake of 0.05 per hand, and a maximum stake of 5.00 per hand.

The hands that you can win on in this title include 3 of a Kind, Straight, Flush, Full House, 4 of a Kind, Straight Flush, 5 of a Kind, Royal Flush (with a wild), Four Wilds and a Royal Flush (natural). The lowest prize possible is 1 coin (for a 3 of a Kind on the minimum wager), whilst the maximum prize is 5,000 coins (for a natural Royal Flush on the maximum wager).

Final thoughts

We like the idea of getting to choose your own wild. Ultimately, whether your wild card appears to save the day or not is entirely down to chance. But, the lower your wild cards are in value, the better your pay-out will be if you complete a hand using other high cards.
