T-REX

About T-Rex

Dinosaurs have caught the public’s eye again thanks to the movie magic of Steven Spielberg’s most recent adventure Jurassic World. They have been extinct for millennia with only their fossilized bones giving us clues on how they dominated an ancient world.

T-Rex gives us just a taste of that world in a five reel, 25 activated pay line slot. Simply press the up and down arrows next the Lines tab at the bottom to reduce the total bets, which also reduces your chances at a pay-out. The bet amount per line can also be adjusted next to the Bet tab.

A common feature of Real Time Gaming slots is that the progressive jackpot can be triggered randomly during any cycle and is not bet dependant. It may be worth your while to keep turning the wheels in the hopes of hitting it, but the return to player edges more towards the house’s favour. You can get bigger progressives elsewhere, on the other hand when it reaches $5,000 or more we wouldn’t call it small change.

The graphics are sharp but not outstanding, the music is non-existent and the sound effects are limited but functional.

Special Features

The mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex himself stands out as the wild symbol releasing an earth-shaking roar when he helps to form a winning pay line. Be warned that the first time to experience it might come as a shock to you and thankfully the sound can be turned off when this gets irritating. Unusually for a game like this the T-Rex only resides in the middle reel and automatically doubles any win.

Bonus Feature

Get cracking on the egg symbol scatter as just two of them will prompt a win; by getting three or more increases that from one to 200 times the amount you paid on that spin. The eggs do a little jiggle in their nests and the best is to break one of them open when three or more appear to discover how many free spins are lurking inside. Each egg holds up to ten free spins.

The number of eggs you get to open will determine the overall total and begin the feature. What makes this more exciting is that if the T-Rex appears he devourers any other dinosaur on the field, effectively making them wilds as well to create massive possible combinations. Feast on five dinosaurs to form an active pay line thereby ringing up a 10,000 coin jackpot. In addition to that bonus eggs that appear will retrigger this event.
