Lucky 8 Line Video Slot by Net Entertainment: Review

About Lucky 8 Line

Lucky 8 Line is one of Net Entertainment’s older, more simplistic games from a bygone era. This slot machine game never proved itself to be a huge success, despite its interesting take on classic slot gaming. Lucky 8 Line features a 3x3 grid of symbols, across which sit a total of 8 paylines. As you can imagine, those lines are adjustable at the bottom of the reels. Lucky 8 Line can see players able to bet anything from a floor of 0.10 per line, up to a total of 6.40 per spin, based on all 8 lines being active, and an 8-coin per line stake. This is an inexpensive slot to play, and one which could see you win as much as 1,000x your total bet in all.

Special features

Symbols can appear stacked in this slot, and that is as close to a special feature as you are going to get with this game. Ordinarily, players are going to need to bag three-of-a-kind combinations to win cash prizes. However, since symbols can appear stacked on the reels, it is possible to bag nine-of-a-kind combinations on the 3x3 grid. No prizes are awarded for four, five, six, seven, or eight-of-a-kind combinations, unless they are made with the “7” symbol.

For standard paying three-of-a-kind combinations, players can win 10x for cherries, any bars, or oranges. They can win 14x for plums, and 18x their total stake for bells. Three of a kind combinations which feature watermelons, single, double, or triple bars can see players win 20x, 30x, 50x, or 100x their total stake. Landing a three-of-a-kind win of 7s can see players win 200x their total stake.

Bonus feature

If players nine-of-a-kind combos featuring any bars or oranges, they will win 50x their stake. Do it with plums, bells, watermelons, or single bars, and that rises to 100x, 200x, 300x or another 300x your total stake, respectively. If a nine-of-a-kind combo is made using cherries, or double bars it is worth 400x your stake, and if it is done with triple bars then you can win 500x your total stake.

Players who land two, three, four, five, six, seven or eight-of-a-kind combos with 7s can win 2x, 5x, 20x, 50x, 100x, 200x, or 400x their total bet. Do the magic with nine 7s and you can win the top prize, which is worth 1,000x your total stake.

Players could also prosper from 9 mixed fruits. If they land nine different fruit symbols on the reels, they will win a consolation prize of 15x their total bet.

Final thoughts

There are many ways to win with this slot, and it is a nice game to play. It never really took off, though, and one can see why. There are no special features of any kind. It is a fun slot to play, but a wild symbol would really have boosted this slot’s popularity in NetEnt’s early days.
